ANALOGS explores unexpected intersections between Western classical music and underrepresented, overlooked and new voices across time periods and traditions.
Dialogues: Malang Jobarteh, kora
Kora virtuoso Malang Jobarteh performs a boundary-defying recital combining arrangements of Western classical pieces with original compositions and traditional West African music.
Echoes in Life: Thomas Mesa, cello and Dan Le, piano
Cellist Thomas Mesa and pianist Dan Le present an emotional and timely recital celebrating an emergence from despair to joy. The program pairs works by contemporary female composers including Andrea Casarrubios and Elizabeth Start with Beethoven’s Sonata No. 3 in A major, Op. 69.
The Seasons: Marilyn Nonken, piano
